You can use heavier material if you want to create a more private space. It’s pretty easy to find a wide variety of drapes but if you don’t have any luck, you can always go to a fabric store and find something suitable . Measure the area where you’d like to hang the divider and buy a tension-mounted curtain rod. There are many ornate options that look fantastic in a formal living room. Then it’s just a matter of hanging the curtains on the rod. It’s simple, it’s cheap, and it takes all of two seconds to push the curtains back when you don’t need to create a division.

Another option for people who are a little more crafty is to create a photo room divider. This requires a bit more work but the result is something far more personalized. All you need to do is buy a large canvas with a solid back and glue the photos you want to use onto the canvas or use decoupage. Another option is to buy a bunch of cheap wooden frames from a dollar store and glue them all together using wood glue. This is more work but the end result is certainly more unique. These dividers are great for displaying a bunch of family photos at once and they also make great gifts.
