Finding Travel Insurance for Your New York Holiday

If you love theater, there’s really  no place on earth like New York’s Broadway theater district.  It’s world famous for good reason, and the next-best theater city – London – is a distant second.  The US economy’s continued recession has made a trip to Broadway more affordable than ever, so if you’ve always wanted to see a show, now is a terrific time. As you make plans for your Broadway travel adventure, keep five things in mind.

First, be sure to bring a little more money than you think you’ll need.  While now is a terrific time to enjoy the bright lights of the big city, New York remains an expensive town, and the last thing you’ll want to be doing is pinching pennies toward the end of your stay.

Second, make sure to check out one of the many New York travel guide books for the inside scoop on the best local attractions, shows, restaurants, and sites to see.  They’re available at most book stores, or you can easily find a Broadway travel guide online.

Don’t forget to research holiday insurance, particularly if you have medical difficulties of any kind.  Finding travel insurance for pre existing medical conditions can be a bit difficult, and you should expect to pay a bit more, but you shouldn’t take chances with your vacation investment.  Be sure to disclose your medical situation at the time you contract for your policy, and have the policy take effect at the time of booking, rather than at the time of departure.  That way, any deposit you make is also covered.

If you have a friend or acquaintance who has visited New York recently, or better yet, who is or was a New York City resident, be sure to get in touch with them for any travel tips, last-minute deals, and show reviews.

Last, be prepared to have fun!  Broadway is among the most amazing travel destinations on the planet, so enjoy your hard-earned time off!
