Cleaning Yellow Toenails

The toenails are often the parts of our body which receives little attention. Most people are busy thinking about their faces and their body. For starters, you can go to salons and get yourself a pedicure. Your feet will look and feel clean and you can even get colors on your nails too. There are many bottles of colors on the spinning nail polish rack to choose from.

Yellow toenails are one of the problems of most people. Yellow toenails are often caused by germs, bacteria and fungi. It can also be because of nail polish which is not removed thoroughly from your nails. Proper cleaning is one of the many ways you can get rid of yellow stains.

The next time you clean your nails, keep these things in mind. Soak a cotton ball with nail polish remover and scrub it on your toenails. Remove as much as you can of the nail polish. Remove as much as you can of the yellow stain on your nails.

Mix 1 tablespoon of lemon juice and 1 tablespoon of baking soda by stirring until they have a paste-like consistency.

Put a little amount of the paste onto each of your toenails. Use an old toothbrush to buff the paste into the nails. Do not forget to rinse once you are finished.

If you still see yellow stains in your nails even after using the paste, you can rub toothpaste on your nails. This will not only get rid of the stains, this will also make your nails look really shiny.

If you have yellow nails caused by fungi you need warm water and soap to clean your toenails. Clean your feet thoroughly and dry it with a towel. Fungi like to live in places which are moist, so make sure to always dry your feet. Apply antifungal cream. These medicines are readily available in drug stores. Remember to always use clean socks if you must wear them.

The next time you go to the salon to get your nails painted and choose bottles on the nail polish racks, you will not have to worry about getting embarrassed because of your yellow toenails.
